If on Redhat, use linuxconf Config Networking Client_tasks
Basic_host_information.
Also use the hostname command, make sure /etc/HOSTNAME is correctly set,
and edit /etc/hosts appropriately.
Then restart networking:
/etc/rc.d/init.d/inet restart
