Mail from ILUG-BOM list (Non-Digest Mode)

Hi my name is pavan working as a IT Executive in Sony
Entertainment.
Can any one help me Reg. The WEBMAIL.
My prob. and Q are.
* can we make use of the linux as a WEBMAIL server.
Not as POP3 server. ?
* We are using CCmail as the mail sotfware. In which
the user can access his or her mail from any mach. It
generate a profile for the user in the mail server.By
which the all the mail are stored in the server. The
user get a security in way the mail is not downloaded
on any mach. which he OR she uses in the org. He or
she get the password to access his mailbox.
Due to this factor the employ of the comp. are so used
to the ccmail that any recomendation to change the
mail software fire back on us by the magm.
So can we make use of linux by which we can have a
webmail system in which the front end will be a IE or
netscape by which user can check his mailbox. & we can
use the linix server in which it send the mail & rev.
the mail.& store the mail of indi. mailbox.
Can any one help me on above issue . We can take it as
join project and i will reco. this to my magm.
