[ILUG-BOM] intell 810 support

hi i have a Intel 810 mother board (with Intel graphics inbuilt in it), celeron 533, 64 MB ram. i tried installing linux but couldn't install the gui part. i have to work in text mode only. how do i install kde or genome on my existing system.   please give me all the details as i am a new user.   also how can i download all the messages like a news group?   pradyumna. __________________________________________________________ earth is the cradle of mankind, it is high time we got out of it.
