Interpreters have tremendous overhead. In a
realtime env. even RTOSs have problems.
The recent Montavista realtime, fully reentrant
kernel patch is of great interest. Even on a
desktop it will make responsiveness very good.
Realtime FvWM ...??. On servers the communication
process could exploit the service.
Have downloaded the stuff and will be trying it
out on some nifty new low end h/w (GEODE) by
first week next month.
