Mail from ILUG-BOM list (Non-Digest Mode)

hi friends,
i have installed oracle8i in my system. i was able to login to oracle using sqlplus
scott/tiger.
but when i rebooted my system and tried to login usging the same i got an error ORACLE
NOT FOUND.
i had created the startup file as mentioned in the documentation. but still it gives
the same error,
now what do i do..
ur help is needed now.
