hi friends,
i have installed oracle 8i on my SuSE linux 6.4 machine.
just after installation i was able to login to oracle using sqlplus scott/tiger
but after rebooting my system i was not able to login to oracle using sqlplus
the error that i got was
"ORA-01034 ORACLE not available"
i have created the startup files as given in the documentation, to automate startup of
the database during bootup and put in the /etc/rc.d/init.d/rc2.d/ directory, but still
no success.
i have even tried to start the database using dbstart though it does not give me any
error i am not able to login to the database.
please help me out friends.
