Mail from ILUG-BOM list (Non-Digest Mode)

Hi,
I recently tried out a few softwares by compiling the sources. But now the
problem is that I don't know how to uninstall them! Do I have to go and
manually delete every file that was created? How do I keep track of what
all is present on my system?
Also most softwares use a ./configure script to set up the compile options.
How do I use that while trying to create a binary rpm? The rpm command runs
the script without any intervention, which means that I can't specify any
options.
