Are serial terminal different then normal monitors ? Can we use an
existing monitor ? I have access to a spare Mono VGA from a friend. Could
it be used ? BTW, Linux runs on what emulation ? When I give the command
"set", it  gives me "TERM=linux". 

Could you please send me at [EMAIL PROTECTED] , the material 
(instructions) that you have, to set up a dumb terminal ?
