I think "Indian Operating System" is misleading. What I (and I'm sure
others on this list) would like is inclusion of India in the
internationalisation (I18N) of Linux.

Like support for Indian fonts and languages. At least, docs in Indian
languages. Surely local LUGs could work on that? What say, gang?

C-DAC has, I believe, come up with some Indian script software for MS
platforms. Anyone have an ear there?

A very minor but disturbing (to me) thing: In the time zone or locale
setting, Asia/Calcutta is the only one mentioned. What about Asia/Mumbai?
Okay, it's still the same zone, but language is different. And why
Calcutta? What about Delhi? That's the capital.

This is what I understand by "an Indian Linux distro". Sorry, GNU/Linux.
