'bout your resolution problem .. u simply dont have other resolutions
configured in your /etc/X11/XF86Config

run  Xconfigurator and one of the last questions after probing is for u to
select the resolutions which u want to run in. Select all applicable.
Next time u start ur X server....ctrl-alt-+/- should work !!!

hi all.
I'm ranjeet doing comp engg ,very new to linux..
i have redhat 5.0 running on my pc..
i get some msgs like this
INIT: Id "s1" respawning too fast : disabled for 5 minutes

however it doesn't gives an error but i don't want this msg..
can somebody plz. tell me the problem??do i have to check some files?
if so what r the changes?
also yesterday i got a msg something like  this ....i don't rembr exctly..
FATAL xcalloc : not enough space to allcate 8102 bytes

after restarting it works well ...but is it harmfull for my pc..??

even  1 more :
kde says that [ctrl]+[alt]+[+/-] will change the resolution.but it is not 
working with my pc.what is the problem?
is there ne another way to change resolution in kde?
