Hi,
        Use LILO passwords. You can use this feature of LILO to prompt for
a password whenever you boot into linux  or only when command line
parameters are used at LILO prompt (the 'restricted' option). Use the
password option at the global level with the 'restricted' option at the
per-image level in /etc/lilo.conf . 
        Read the 'lilo.conf' man page for more details.
