Considering that you are getting RH, Caldera and SuSE with the book, I think
it's a good buy. Did you see the contents of the book?
Just one month back I purchased one book RedHat Linux 5.2 Unleashed (it's
quite popular) from TechMedia. It has got 2 CDs of RedHat 5.2 with sources
for other packages. The book discusses almost every aspect of Linux in a
lucid manner. One plus point is it also discusses programming for linux
(Shell/perl/awk/python/ C/C++/tcl/tk), although not in a detailed manner,
but surely you can start from the book. The book costs Rs 395. After
reduction you may get it arounf Rs 340.
