A web based frontend using php3 , cgi , and mysql / oracle / sybase /
postgres kinda soln

Well decide the platform ( Isn't linux the obvious choice .. Unless there is
an mcse on this list )
Decide how the clients will communicate .. Web based solutions are the in
thing
Setup a system which will accept the necessary i/p , have a flexible
reporting system and load balancing strategies .. Also plan for
backup/recovery policies for this system
I'd recommend the Oracle Apps server for linux .. ver 3.0 bcoz i'm using
that for all these kinda projects
