Dear Rushabh,
This is a standard problem with Trident card.
Do the following steps. Startx hanging problem will stop forever.
You may not tweak with Monitor frequencies at all.

You need to edit your XF86Config file manually.
In the graphics Device Selection, have your entries in the following manner.

Identifier  " Trident 3DImage975 AGP (Generic)"
Vendorname  "Trident"
Boardname   "3DImage9750"
Chipset     "3DImage975"
VideoRam    4096
Option      "noaccel"

This will definitely work as it had worked for me.
