Hi. If your lilo ever goes bust, you could boot from a DOS floppy, and do
FDISK /MBR
provided of course that you have FDISK on your DOS floppy. That would
reset your boot sector to the DOS default which will point to your DOS
bootup files.
Alternatively, you could install lilo on a different partition, not the
MBR. Haven't tried that, so don't know how what happens if it goes bust.
Maybe someone else can shed some light on that.
