Hi People,
1. Does any body know how to implement true type fonts in Linux
so that they can be used with Gimp Etc.
(a) I copied all the windows fonts from the directory c:\windows\fonts
to /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/ttf
(b) Changed to that directory and fired the command
$ttmkfdir -o fonts.dir
(c) fired the command
$chkfontpath --add /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/ttf
(d) still the fonts did not come in X windows
2. Does anybody know how to change the font of console mode
in linux, not the xterm in X-Windows, that is too easy.
I am also working on these.
But if anybody has come across the solution let me know. I am a little
hard pressed where time is concerned
