try gnucash. Or better still, go to freshmeat.net and search for
'accounting'

I also heard that quicken is planning to go the linux-way...check out their
site too ! But i think most of this software will be for home accounting.

ciao,
Amit

 Subject: [ILUG-BOM] A/c s/w for linux

Hi,

Can anyone recomend a good A/c s/w for Linux ?
I am basicly looking for a "back end accounting engine" which would
accept transactions from external sources (appropriatly formated text
files)
and make the required debits / credits and generate fiscal reports like
T/b,b/s, ledgers
etc etc etc........
