I've seen that exact message when trying to install StarOffice 5.1 on RH
6.1. RH -- if I remember right -- has a noexec bit set in /etc/fstab for
the CD-ROM, and bash keeps complaining about not being able to run the
executable rather than say "permission denied". I don't have RH here, so
I can't check up on this right now.
