Dear Sir,

My organization recently purchased the official Red Hat Linux 6.1
operating system from a vendor in Mumbai, India. I already had Red Hat
Linux 6.1 installed on my machine (Intel Celeron 100Mhz, 4.3Gb HDD, 32Mb
memory) for research into RHL 6.1, through a CD distributed by PC Quest
magazine of India. I had installed the RHL 6.1 operating system creating
a partition of 2.1GB through Disk Druid on a hard disk of 4.3GB, which
already had Windows 98. I want to install the official RHL 6.1 installed
on my machine as a server and connect other machines as RHL 6.1 clients.
I am having the following problems:

On the other day, I rebooted the machine to Windows 98 and to my
surprise found that Windows 98 got corrupted (think so, since it read
the bios settings, hardware profiles, starting Norton Anti-virus
checkup, starting net utility of DOS and was showing Windows 98 start
screen) and had to run the setup program again. Although the Windows 98
is working fine after the setup, I lost the LILO boot loader and hence
cannot boot into Linux. How do I boot Linux?
I have my CDROM device attached to another machine running Windows 95
(Client for Microsoft networks) and would like to install from there.
How do I?
Referring to the RHL 6.1Official Manual - Reference Guide, 2.15 Rescue
Mode - page no. 61, indicates that there is one rescue.img file in
images directory. I checked the directory contents but could not find
the rescue.img or rescue.txt files in any directory on CD1. Where are
they and what is the procedure if I don't have CDROM on my machine for
doing so?
I initially had a Cirrus Logic display card attached to my system
having a mono monitor. Since the resolution was not proper, I had the
card changed to SIS 6215c. I had really had tough times getting back the
same resolution as was in Cirrus Logic card using 'Xconfig' and
selecting 'Unlisted card' since I had read the 'SIS 6215c' card is not
fully supported. Still my problem is not solved. How do I configure?
I would like my machine run as RHL 6.1 server and connect other
machines as diskless RHL 6.1 clients so as to eliminate the requirement
of a hard disk on the clients. What type of hardware or installation
procedure / steps will I require?

I request reply and solution for each of the above cases at the earliest
as I want to start website development under RHL 6.1on Apache web
server.
