Hey raj,

Er, dude there is no concept as "such and such an os is used only for
admnistration". You have *to* administer a system , a system does not
administer *by* itself.

Yeah Redhat is easy enuff for a home user, esp for people who are just
starting out. Check out the cd's available from PCQ or get in touch with
any lug member's , somebody can defn loan you a cd.

"Red hat Unleashed" would be a good book. Mail [EMAIL PROTECTED] for a
soft copy. He has a whacked version. I'm sure you can find a hardcopy at
computer bookshop.Any general unix book will also do to start withyou are
comfortable with the environment you can shift to the online man pages,
howto's etc.
BTW just to clear things up a bit, in Linuxworld , Redhat ,Corel suse etc
are know as "linux distributions " or "distros" in short. The programs
which run on linux are called packages. An anlogy would be WIN98 is the
"distribution" and MSWORD is the "package". So bashically Redhat is a
"distributions" not a package.
Have fun and welcome aboard :)
