First, fix your line length.
Now, what's the problem with lilo? It is the most convenient way to
select between boot options. You can select to boot from your linux
partition or your windoes partition as the need be.
If you still need to change this, then reinstall lilo, but not on the mbr.
Then, you can switch by changing the active partition.
