81 characters? i be damned if that is so.
must be a bug in Netscape 4.7. i can't help it. pelase learn to live with it. (win95 
answer)

Linux answer: Is it possible that you are reading in fixed-width plain-text font like 
courier, whereas i am sending in proportional
font Ariel at size 10. so whatever takes less space in my screen and comes in a single 
line spills over to right end on your screen.

in that case you know what to do. (select: read in the font in which sender has 
written)

and mine is 14" so no problem on that end. how wide a monitor are you using.
