But once I sell it, the buyer is entitled to redistribute it anyway he
wants! So my sales stop at customer number one!

BTW, according to an interview in CHIP, RMS also doesn't like the idea of
Open Source under GPL as opposed to Public Domain. Says Open Source puts
too much restrictions and all. But I think GPL is the perfect way to do it!

Even the comparison with air and water doesn't really hold. Nobody is
taking any efforts to *improve* them - people simply use them at best, and
end up polluting it at worst. But there are real people out there
contributing their efforts to improving the software - they need protection.
