Thrain, son of Thror and father of Thorin, is a character from J.
R. R. Tolkien's Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings trilogy. Thrain
himself never appears in the stories, only getting in frequent
legendary mentions throughout. Thorin Oakenshield is a lead
character in The Hobbit. He leads a team of 12 dwarves and a
hobbit (Bilbo Baggins, the protaganist) in search of his
grandfather's legendary treasures under the mountain, now
protected by Smaug the dragon.
Okay, I'll stop. This has nothing to do with Linux, apart from
being a source of box names (I'm considering naming all of my
future boxen after Tolkien characters).
