Try doing this, stop your X, remove i810 (modprobe -r i810) then load i915 (modprobe i915), start your X. See if it works. If it doesn't then it's clearly a hardware issue. If it works, then fiddle with your /etc/modprobe.conf and make sure it loads i915 at next boot instead of i810. > By the way are you using Ubuntu or Fedora? I am a Debian / Ubuntu guy.
