I don't think he's talking about a dead partition. He has done an 'rm
-rf' which, according to the author of ext3, is unrecoverable. I had
posted a link earlier on this thread regarding this.

Point noted. But if rlinux could recover deleted files from a busted
partition, why can it not do so from a partition that's working.
