No, that's what's most unfortunate. Upgrading the RAM or rather, spending ANY kind of money on that box is not an option, because he just bought a new laptop :) The laptop runs Windows XP and Kubuntu with XGL. Yesterday the fellow told me that after using Kubuntu for nearly a month, he got sick of using Windows on that old box and desperately wants me to put Linux on it. Hence this thread. He's not the only one impressed.
