If you run Sid, you get the kernel images within a day or two of
them being released upstream. That seems pretty quick for the latest
drivers.
If you are talking about non-free drivers, then yes, I suppose
other distributions are better.

I have not found anything better for my development machines, or
for my laptop, so far.
