Its working on OpenOffice.org 2.0.4
Added random data to some cells in an ods file.
Selected a cell>>Format>>Cells...>>Background>>Selected a color>>OK
Selected the entire table>>Data>>Sort>>Sort by>>Selected a field>>OK
The data gets sorted and the color of the cell moves along with the data.
