Hi we run a redhat 9 machine(default install) which is used as DSN server. I am observing a problem with the bind service.
BIND version= bind 9.2.1-16 It suddenly stops responding to the DNS queries once in 2-3 days. Previously we used to solve this problem by restarting the service, when it was happenning once in 1 or 2 weeks. But now we cannot restart bind service, it gives following error on 'service named restart': error => rndc: recv failed: operation canceled Moreover when I try 'service named status' there is no output and I have to manually kill this command by using Ctrl+C Any clues?
