1. make sure that your web page is standards compliant - lot of  
software for that
2. make sure it is well designed - lot of examples for that
3. make sure there are no broken links - lot of software for that
4. make sure that there are no circular links - links to sites  
leading back to your site
5. make sure that there is good content - no software for this, only  
common sense
6. make sure it is useful
7. make sure it has an USP

then you dont have to worry about SEO
