Freedom equates to no vendor lock-in. If you are speaking to managment 
types, talk of the downside of vendor lockin. If you are speaking to 
IT boneheads talk of availability of source code and customization. 
The actual user does not care about anything other than leaving 
office at 6 p.m. and playing mp3s and chatting in between. 

Since every commercial enterprise is in an exploitation rat race, 
restrictions from exploitation are seen as poison pills and the exact 
opposite of the entrepreneur spirit. However showing em how to 
unravel their own vulnerability to exploitation is all very well.

And ofcourse the ultimate bottomline No Money no Honey.
