Absolutely..Agreed. Actually, these habits have thrived because M$ Xchange
and some other so called MTAs allow you to do all such stupid things at
the MTA level - adding disclaimers, requesting mail receive
notifications...the list goes on.

apart from file attachments and normal signatures.
