Hi Gurpreet,

Well the problem seems to be that your XF86Config file
is not created properly.

Just check this file /etc/X11/XF86Config , it should
contain something like this :-

Section "Screen"
    Driver      "svga"
    # Use Device "Generic VGA" for Standard VGA
320x200x256
    #Device      "Generic VGA"
    Device      "S3 Trio3D"
    Monitor     "Samsung Samtron 40Bn"
    DefaultColorDepth   16
    Subsection "Display"
        Depth       16
        Modes       "1024x768"
        ViewPort    0 0
    EndSubsection
EndSection

I think this section is self explanatory , u can use
different drivers. Either make changes in this section
or use tools to change it...
