I have little idea on what could be wrong, but a indlinux [http://www.indlinux.org/hindi/] KDE or Gnome members may be in a better position to answer you. I am interested in what you are doing. Please put a small howto for people like me. Incidentally I was not able to get proper font rendering of hindi, after trying qt3.2. You had any success? I am using stock KDE 3.1 from Mandrake 9.1.
