How to block spam mails?

Receiving hundreds of spam mails daily.

We are using Squirrelmail for mailing.

Using message/mail filters for this.

But its not 100% useful.

If I enable spam filters it sometimes move important messages to trash.

Any better solution for this?

Thanks in advance.

Thanks/Regards,
Sachin
