 RHL 9.0 no longer supported by Red Hat. Fedora is the
supported community distro.

 RHEL 3.0 isn't any great shakes. The only reason one
would use it is if you need to install any Enterprise
Appln. Else grab a debian and you will be better off
in many way. 

 Note: Debian tends to be a lil non friendly at first
but sucks lesser than Red Hat later when you are used
to it.

  No code that ever gets writted can be vouched to be
100% bug(lets call this unwanted feature) free.

  Like humans, code too evolves over a period of time.
Depending more so on the community and author
surrounding the same.
