No. Actually, originally the board that I got was dead. So, in the
process of replacing the board, the processor + heatsink was removed.
This "cracked" the thermal pad below the heat sink. While refitting
the heat sink on the new board, the "cracked" thermal pad must've
moved a bit out of position. This is prolly the reason for the high
temperatures. The fan is working well. No problem with it. According
to AMD's docs, we are supposed to replace the pad everytime we remove
the heatsink from the processor. I should've done that but due to my
"ignorance" I couldn't buy a new thermal pad / grease....

So you recommend the grease over the pad?
