While there are utilities that convert the OE mailbox into a standard
mbox file, one simple but crude method is as follows:

OE allows one to select all mails in a folder and drag them into a
folder in windows explorer - this creates individual .eml files for
each message with filenames based on the subject header.
Most mail clients allow importing a whole directory of individual
mails into a mail folder - thunderbird does I think & I suppose
evolution does as well. Even if evolution doesn't directly support
this, you could import into any mail client that does and then export
mbox or whatever format evolution requires.
