I have this FC1 system, with a Bsnal broadband

my NIC card (eth0), the connection does activate as

I just came out of this problem. Set your eth0 to a static ip address. In mtnl adsl the range is between 192.168.1.2 to 192.168.1.255. The subnet mask setting is 255.255.255.0 and the gateway is the ip address of your adsl which is 192.168.1.1 in mtnl. Just check your settings. For dns directly edit /etc/resolv.conf and add the 2 dns server entries. You will find it in your adsl modem's configuration. Then restart your system. You should be now able to get online.

Rony.
