I have tried out KnowledgeTree and was quite impressed. The install was straightforward enough, but some significant time and effort would need to be spent training the end users about permissions, groups, roles etc. I presume you have already looked at the demo at: http://demo.knowledgetree.com/login.php One issue I did not look at at all was security since it was to be deployed on an internal LAN server. If your deployment is to be accessible online, I would suggest you pay special attention to this.
