You misunderstand. I am gonna repeat myself:

So whatever you are blaming for that issue is not my concern, maybe kernel or 
some module should react to that but does not. Saying that, ptp4l is UNUSABLE 
on switches with IGMP snooping (many vendors tried and few kernel versions) on 
devices with older kernels. More tests are required for newer kernels.
