| From: Jonathan Berry <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> | > How wide are the stripes? Probably a power of 2. 8? | | Looks like 4 pixels, but it's hard to tell. And that is the small | stripe. There seems to be a bigger "stripe" that happens, I think it | was 16 of the smaller stripes, so 64 pixels.
Interesting. As you point out, this system has separate video RAM. I don't know what its configuration is. So I don't know what the strip width says about it. | Uhh, I've got an nVidia GeForce 440 Go that should have 64 MB of | *discrete* memory. It is certainly not the shared memory system made | popular by Intel graphics chipsets. I could image there being some | buffers in memory, though. You are right. I forgot that. The rest of your message suggests that either video memory or some memory bus (including the tranceivers) is not working properly. There ought to be a video buffer memory test, but I don't know where to find one. nVidia's site does not seem to offer one. Does anyone have a spec sheet for this video chip? The best description I could find was in this review: http://www.anandtech.com/mobile/showdoc.aspx?i=1642 Good luck! _______________________________________________ LinuxR3000 mailing list [email protected] http://lists.pcxperience.com/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/linuxr3000 Wiki at http://prinsig.se/weekee/
