Hi,
I have this problem with both internal and external speakers.  Yes I hear
this same dinging from the built-in speakers.  The dinging pitch actually
changes each time it happens, so its not always the same noise.  It seems
to me as if its freezing on the first note of the mp3.

I also tried the .asoundrc, it didn't do anything.
