Even though this is a Linux list, thought maybe someone would know if
this is possible. I've got a WinXP desktop that needs replacing, but
truth be told it isn't used that often and all I really need it the hard
disk space in it (I have about 300GB). Since it's not used frequently,
I thought maybe I could just put the drive in an external USB-IDE
adapter case and run from them. But I would like to run completely from
them, booting included, so I don't have to reinstall WinXP on the
internal drive. Has anyone done this?
