Hi All,
Advice please on getting the cardbus slot to work on an R3000 series.
The distro in use is Xandros 3.0.2 OC. Here's what I have done so far:
As root:
vi /etc/pcmcia/config.opts
add the lines -
include port 0x3000-0x7fff
include memory 0xe8100000-0xe97fffff
:w and :q to exit
vi /etc/init.d/cardbus [to make a new file]
enter the lines -
#!/bin/bash
setpci -s 0:a.0 SUBORDINATE_BUS=0A
cardctl eject
cardctl insert
into the new file
save and exit with :w and :q
chmod the new file with
chmod 755 cardbus
make a symlink to the new file with:
cd /etc/rc5.d
ln -s /etc/init.d/cardbus /etc/rc5.d/S20pcmcia-cardbus
However, at this point I believe the Cardbus should now be able to read
any card inserted into it. The card in use is a Netgear WG511T and it
works on the same laptop in Windows. The following lspci - seems to
indicate it isn't detected in Linux yet. Any ideas please?
