There are two types of error messages here. First linuxsampler tries to find some LADSPA plugins. These are not required by linuxsampler in any way, but they can be used as effects in the sampler. As we couldn't find any standard directory for LADSPA, we chose the Audacity directory, as that is a common application, which includes a lot of LADSPA plugins. Note that the error message is not that LS can't find the plugins. It does find 103 plugins that it understands, but a few of the files in the Audacity directory are either not plugins or not loadable for some reason. So, both the "Failed to load DLL" and "unable to find ladspa_descriptor" are really just informational messages and can be safely ignored. The real problem here is instead: "LSCPServer: Could not bind server socket, retrying for 180 seconds..." It could be that another application already has port 8888 occupied, but most probably it is another instance of linuxsampler that is running in the background. /Andreas > > Thanks again. > > Kind regards, > GrahamG > > ---------- Forwarded message ---------- > From: Lynn Walls<clwa...@gmail.com> > Date: Sat, 05 Feb 2011 10:08:03 -0500 > Subject: Re: [jOrgan-user] Fwd: [Linuxsampler-devel] Windows snapshot builds > To: jorgan-u...@lists.sourceforge.net > > Graham, > > I downloaded and installed Linuxsampler using the new Windows > installer.
