Yes, we use %PROGRAMFILES%\Audacity\Plug-Ins. (I don't think there is a standard way to use the registry to find out the place of an application.) It's just a guess where we have a chance to find some LADSPA plugins. In your case it was a good guess - we found 103 plugins there. If Audacity isn't installed, or installed in another directory, we won't find any plugins, but Linuxsampler will of course work anyway.
