No, that was my first, and yes I am new. As I live in Riverside, it
seems awfully convenient to have the meetings here, but will be out of
town next week end .
So hope to see everyone in Sept.
thanks

Hi Ann,

There are two groups that use this mailing list.

SRCLE meets on the last Saturday evening of each month, in Murrieta.
SRCLUG tries to meet on a Sunday which is around the middle of the
month, usually the 2nd Sunday.

I only moved today's meeting to next week because I initially hadn't
realized there was 5 Sundays in August and I like to have this meeting
about "half" way between 2 SRCLE meetings. ( Maybe it's better in the
future to just use the 2nd Sunday even if there is a longer month? )

I plan on actually looking ahead through the end of this year or next,
and publishing the dates far in advance - and will eventually put the
calendar entries on the web page. My apologies for any confusion this
month.

That was my intent, yes. "Source LUG" is unique enough to be
distinguishable from SRCLE ("circle"). 'SRC' is for
'S'an-Bernardino /
'R'iverside 'C'ounty.

Does that mean we can call the undesirables of our group "SRCL jerks"?

I mentioned this in person at the last meeting, and also at the last
SRCLE meeting. The goal is for the "linuxusers" word to relate to the
mailing list, which is used by multiple LUG's, and the unique named
groups refer to each individual meeting time/location.

Why don't we put on the website "the 2nd Sunday of each month, unless
there are, like, 5 Sundays, in which case it's the 2nd to last
Sunday, which is still the 2nd Sunday of most months, but you
probably already knew that 'on an expert level.'"
