Definitely go with the Thinkpad If your thinking on replacing your
present (daily use) laptop.

I tried using my EeePC as a daily use laptop for about 3 months. It
worked fine until I started getting the itch to run a vm (virtualbox),
light gaming, etc. You can't beat a 15.4" screen, (unless you get a
17") for daily use. Not to mention the 2.4ghz Core 2 processor.

Now I use my EeePC for traveling use. I throw it in my lunch box, and
it bounces around my trucks floorboard all day long. Just for those
quick email checks etc. I like it better than the old Nokia 770 I was
using. Especially when your a distro who-e like myself.
